9-Days Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar Tours – Full Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Marangu Gate & Trek to Mandara Hut.

This is the beginning of your 9-Days Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar tour. For the first package you will start with mount Kilimanjaro trekking later followed by Zanzibar beach vacation. In your hotel you will have early breakfast and leave your luggage to hotel while take the lighter one. We will drive on the way to Marangu gate. You will complete normal registration there and start trekking from Marangu gate (1700m) through dense rainforest to Mandara hut (2740m). it is the first hut where you can have dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Treks to Horombo Huts.

Today is your second day on the mountain, the altitude continue to change progressively as higher you get. The trail will take you to the hut 3700m. The vegetation patterns changes progressively, and also you will have a chance to acclimatize as you hike upward. You will be able to see the peak of kibo and Mawenzi on the fore part.

Day 3: Treks to Kibo Hut.

Today you will be herding to Kibo hut waiting to reach the summit the next day so after having a great breakfast you will start your climb through the alpine vegetation and progressively continue to diminish. You will reach to Kibo hut and relax ready for working around mid-night for summiting.

Day 4: Treks to Summit, and down to Horombo Hut.

Today is the day you will go to the summit of Kilimanjaro mountain, so after a hot tea warm up you will start your climb, and at this time the temperature gets very cold, it in in fact for one to experience hardship and therefore your guide will be very close to you through providing different instruction. It will take you one to two hours to reach Uhuru peak. You take little time to enjoy the summit and have some pictures later descend to Horombo Hut.

Day 5: Treks to trail head, drive to Arusha.

Early as usual after taking breakfast, later descend returning to the gate. You will go down passing the hut, Mandara hut until you reach the starting point at the Marangu gate. The trail becomes much easier so it will take short time to reach the gate. Day 6: Fly to Zanzibar.

You will have a flight from the Kilimanjaro airport to Zanzibar, you will meet your host as you arrive then you will be taken to a selected hotel for accommodation waiting for the next day routine. Day 7 – 8: Zanzibar Town exploration.

Zanzibar is a great island mainly living a lot of Muslims. After having a sweet prepared breakfast you will go and start exploring the stone town there are nice beaches also the Jozani Park which has the red colobus monkey which is not found anywhere in the planet there more and more at this island, dinner and overnight will be given at the hotel

Day 9: Transfer to Zanzibar Airport.

Today the last day after taking breakfast you will go and look for what didn’t see the previous day Zanzibar has a great clove plantation so you can buy and export to your destination, you will be taken to the airport for your departure. The end of 9-Days Kilimanjaro Climb and Zanzibar.
